The $BONSAI token

$BONSAI is the unit campaigns are paid in. Demand comes from campaigns consuming it, not from holding it and hoping.

Fixed supply, no admin

One billion $BONSAI are minted once at deploy and that is the entire supply. There is no owner key on the token, no further minting, no pause, and no blacklist. It is a plain ERC-20 with permit (gasless approvals) and burn, so the treasury can retire its share of campaign flow.

Why anyone buys it

Three buyers show up for their own reasons. Projects buy $BONSAI to fund security campaigns against their code. Operators lock a small amount to switch verified rewards on. Communities pool it to sponsor a target they rely on. In every case the token is bought because a campaign consumes it, not because holding it promises yield.

Where deposits go

A campaign deposit is split on a fixed schedule: most of it pays the contributors who did useful work and the bounties on verified crashes, with small slices to the target's maintainers and the protocol treasury. See Campaigns for the exact split and the refund path.
